GW Canada to close?

I've found this news. Maybe interesting for some of you. I don't know how true it is...

I have just recently gotten confirmation that the GW Canada HQ will cease operation as of April 30th, 2009.

I do not have any specific information about what this will mean for Canadian GW customers, Games Day events, Canadian White Dwarf, or all of the other myriad of GW Canada related topics.

This will I suppose complete the transition of GW Canada and GW U.S. to become GW North America.

I think GW is joining the Canada with the States HQ again to save money. I dunno what will actually change but iirc the Canada and Us White Dwarf used to be one issue but with extras for the Canadians in the first place for example. (not too sure though)

Don't think any stores will close or that the Canadian GD will dissapear but only one way to find out, tiem will tell...

I think they only want to take the canadian hq down, not to close all their stores in canada.

well everywhere is making cutbacks due to the whole economy jumping around but only time will tell. What really do the HQ's in those areas do tho?
