Citroen 2CV, Slaneesh-style

Post by Elfboy »

I got fed up of painting serious stuff so I decided to have a break and do something with the broken toy Citroen 2CV on my shelf.

I plan to complete it in white, pale pink and pale blue to match a Slaneesh army I don't yet have. I'm just wondering what to field it as. Oh, and as for scale, the car is slightly smaller than GW scale, but not so much that it's too small to fit in.

I can't imagine this device storming thru 40k universe battlefields but it would surely fit well necromunda or other post-apocalyptic games :)
if just require a bit of rust here and there

I agree 100% with Demi_morgana - as much as I like the idea and the model, I don't think it fits onto the battlefields of Warhammer 40k.

It would be excellent for any post apocalyptic game, maybe Fallout, maybe even Necromunda. But for me the only thing it would fit into in 40K is Genestealer Cult.
I'd add rust and dirt, and there you go!

The hood is pretty flat, but the freehands on the back are very nice and subtle.

Hadn't considered other gaming systems but I do see what you mean, especially with the Necromunda idea.

Rust and dirt to come on the edges of panels when I figure out where it should naturally be after I've finished doing all the base colours, found a smart tutorial for rust in the forums that I'm going to adapt for this model.

As mentioned to Mahon above, I like the idea of running it in a skirmish style game, it's not something I'd considered.

Rust and dirt to come with help from forum tutorials.

The bonnet (hood) is flat at the moment because all of the white is a base coat. In fact, the only bit that's done are the blue and pink on the side. I'm not very happy with the freehand work, it's not what I wanted, so I'm going to redo that.

For me the freehand can stay! But it's up to you.

Keep us informed :)

Photograph update on this model.

Have now finished the colour on the left side of the model, including the Meltagun (I think this is originally an Epic scale Chaos Titan part, but I'm not sure). Changed the freehand work on the rear arch to something more suitable.

I'm stuck as to what I should do with the base. The model is not fixed to the base and I would like to do something interesting with it.
