But I still understand how the new vampires can be tempting and hard to resist at all.

There are a few really nice models there, but the army as a whole doesn't look all this irresistable. But hey, maybe they are a strong army at least?

Not that we're on topic here but I consider the mentioned mini to be the best in the new batch of Vampires, but it's still just my personal opinion 8)

EDIT: I don't like the army, but certain vampire models - mostly the one changing into a bat, but new Conrad model and the Vampire chick are also great.

We're off topic but we've already said Hi to Karpiu, so why not chat a bit more?

You really say the half-a-bat is any good? Wow...
I thought the plastic skellies ain't bad, and the crypt ghouls are pretty sweeet as well.

Well it's all matter of taste as usual. Some painted pics:

I've seen it live and feel that it's extremely characterfull (I've seen jarhead's version on CMON yesterday, but it seems someone removed it - he used blood splatters to show the wing growing out of his arm at the very moment).

what a great idea to make it reasonable!
I actually like this model. Sculpt lacks some detailing (plastic...), but as you said it is characterful. It's just that 1-wing creature looked stupid to me. With jarhead's explanation though...

Yeah it looks both charismatic and characterful. I just think it would look better as 2 separate minis, as the current form doesn't quite work for me. Might be an excellent concept sketch though.

It looks as if the guy is undergoing some transformation, and it's a good idea. Just somehow the sculpt simply doesn't do it for me somehow.

The idea of such an Vampire is great but the main rules for the Vamps now are a bit of a mistake. I feel like we're back to hero hammer times ....
