Hey, I'm Noel, just thought I'd say hi. Paintminion enticed me over to come poke my nose through these forums. She runs the local painting club and we've been hanging out and painting together for a long time. I usually end up helping her out with the insanity that is judging the GenCon Painting competition and running the Paint & Take.

For those interested in such things, painting is pretty much what I do. Well, painting, gaming, and reading I should say. My Elfquest comic collection is a little on the ridiculous side, and my gaming habits include a pretty eclectic variety of tastes these days. Painting wise I mostly hang out on the Wyrd boards. We're just finishing up one of our major competitions over there. The last round of Iron Painter Season 4 has been posted and is waiting for judging to finish. Cant wait to find out how I do. I'll see about posting up a picture or two here.

My website is https://skya.shadowdragon.net, though I have to admit I havent updated it in about a year or so. It's one of my main projects for this month now that Iron Painter is over and I actually have some free time again.

See you around, I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

She's here she's here she's here!

Welcome Noeli to another board of fun painters! And Tanya's here as a mod as well! Be careful. They try and tempt you to visit Poland and offer cooking lessons.

And hey, Noel is a 2D artist as well, and has won a Demon and a number of other awards. She's going for her second win of the Iron Painter Contest. She's the one I'm most likely to want to show a mini too and get feedback.

Hi Noel! Welcome to CofC. :rose:

There's a thread about asking for feedback when posting pics. Basically, let folks know how critical you want them to be (competition? just a fun piece? etc.), and you'll get some good feedback here.

Hi Noel, well this is actually the second time I'm doing this but anyhoo...

I used to collect Elfquest too and have actually met the Pini family once (Wendy and Richard), very nice people!

well, again welcome and I hope you enjoy!

Skrit, that's impressive given that you're in The Netherlands. I dont imagine the Pinis make it out there very often. I recently did a trade with a gal in Norway for a bunch of the Carlsen issues. I still dont have issues 1-20 in that format and I was thinking about trying to pick up the Bastei ones of those just so that I can have examples of each of the main European publishers. (Told you I'm an EQ freak. I've got almost every version of all of the English publications.) I really like how that format ended up looking with the oversized pages. I'm currently working on trying to track down some of the German issues that had alternate covers not available here and the Khavi issues that were only printed in color in German for some odd reason. Know anyone who's be wiling to trade me Elfquest for painted minis?
