Hi Mahon. I am now more confused than ever. You (please take that as a collective you) seem to have a big issue with something that I don't really see as an issue and don't think is in any way relevant to my thread here. So I want to debate it fully with you no holds barred and try to get right to the bottom of it.
But I do understand and respect your wish not to inflame passions on this issue here in your forum so I would like to suggest that you and I argue it out privately with you representing all aspects of the issue that I don't understand right now. I think you and I could do that without getting too over excited with each other. And if there is anything worth reporting to everyone else you can do it here for both of us in the way that you are most comfortable with.
If you are up for a bit of behind the scenes fisticuffs I would like to defer kicking it off until tomorrow as I've just realised the end of the month has passed and I'm supposed to have updated our website already!
I'll kick the exchange off tomorrow night unless you tell me not to bother!

Ian, I believe I can help here. (At least I hope so....)
Nav and Trov (and Nameless? can't remember, not going to re-read yet again) were making comments as artists. They were not trying to honestly make any comments on whether you should do or change anything in your contest. They were giving their opinions about the sculpt from what they could see. They in no way meant to say that it shouldn't be qualified as an entry.
They were being opinionated artists, not rules lawyers with the attitude that they actually have any sway over your contest. It's part of what we do here: give opinions about other people's work. And we're darned free with the opinions. We try not to give unreasoned flames, etc., but we do give opinions very readily.
Neither meant to be insulting to you or your contest. I'm not certain about Alexi_Z and won't say on their behalf.
I think there might also be some confusion about sculpting terms being used. While you're right that it doesn't matter for your contest because it all qualifies, I think it matters to the sculptors that were commenting (ie Nav and Trov). I know personally that I thought "scratch-built" and "full sculpt" were the same thing, but I could potentially be corrected by others (such as professional sculptors).
I think you've taken the comments for more than they were meant to be. In trying to clarify what they were saying, Nav and Trov have said more and I think you took them saying more for getting more upset. I can probably speak for them accurately in saying that neither was upset with you, but only with the frustration of the misunderstanding.
Did I get this correct, gentlemen?

I wouldn't be so bold as to suggest press-moulding. I know it's trendy, but if it occured here, then only with the face. Hair are definitely sculpted, I cannot also recall horns like that being on beastmen sprue - and I've been cutting&adding the photos to BitsPudlo pretty recently
.
If the face was pressmoulded, the main suspected are "Gor Head 2" & "Gor Head 6" from here https://bitspudlo.com/store/show_category/138. With nr 6 being very similar.
Even if the face was copied, the rest of the mini is impressive.
