Not too good at taking pictures, need to work on that. Nothin is really finished and the sword hilt is still primer. I dont know if the black beard is working out so any color suggestions would help too.
It seems that the NMM will turn out pretty nice. Maybe some white higlights on sharper edges would be any good?
The verdigris efect worls really nice, though it makes the mini look a bit messy - but hey, isn't it what you wanted
the black beard CAN work well, but you will have to highlight it more to make it interesting. otherwise it will turn into a shapeless thing.
I know how small this mini is, so such a closeup is a sign of your courage - good job
It is a really interesting approach. For the forst look the armor looks a bit odd, but the more I'm watching, the more I like it. Really good effect on the oxidation and weathering.
As for the beard, I can second what Mahon said: if you put a some more highlights on it, it can work really well.
I think you should keep the black beard and ,like others said, highlight it more. A brown beard would look too much like the armour I think. I agree with Endrem on the armour, the first impression is a bit messy, but the more you look at it, the better it looks.
I think all's been said. Just wanted to say Hi, and cool that you are painting such an old Chaos Dwarf, to this date that line is still one of my favourites!
