hiya,

here is my latest work. I am very, very pleased with him because at first sight I don't think there are any big flaws on the miniature. by that I mean that there are no parts of the mini that are painted far worse than the other parts and thus dragging the end result down. ( at least I hope so - if you spot anything let me know ! )

I went for dark colours with twisted subtleties on this one. especially the hand coming out of the backpack has some colour touches on and around it ( not all of them are visible on pictures :( )

while I was painting this guy I kept discovering little details and I really came to love this sculpt. all mordheim models are full of character, but this one is certainly an all time favourite, both in pose sculpt and detail. for example I didn't even notice the little frog untill I started painting the head ;)

without further ado :

I realise these large close up pictures give away alot of my technique and makes painting flaws much more visible, but I like it this way, because people can really comment on the paintjob and not on what the picture shows them. I'm always looking to improve so please comment and criticise !

I very like Your work (and I mean it  ); that's because of good technique and colour choice; I am also glad You decided to remove the idiotic candles :D
first time I saw this mini in some wd od such I also thought it's a crappy sculpt but after seeing it closer it turned out I was wrong

Wow  Great work Mordred. I love the warpstone, face, wood, and little scrolls! I cant really say that I see any flaw... or a part that I don't like (really!! :D)
But I've noticed a hair hanging on one of the pouches on the backside... does that count as a flaw?? :D;)

Seriously; great stuff. The mini shows some real character! And the base is clean too ;)

Great work Mordred, as I mentioned already in the WIP section, he turned out to be very nice. The only thing I dislike is the 'base'. ALthough you decorated it with good quality freehand, it is still just a paint cap to me.

The frog got a tick better, and the rubbery look of the cloak has also disappeared on this picture.

hehe I didn't change the frog so it must have been the picture :D also the rubbery cloak was because of the light I used because that didn't change either.

I have received the same comment on the base on another board ... next time I'll decoarte the base even more.

It looks great! (even without the candles ;)) I know you went for a very dark style but I would have liked it a bit more if it would have had some brighter highlights on the cloak/clothing...
