Well, Mr. M. you are The Man on this forum, of course.

I bought a wood elf army (not the boxed set) for my wife the last xmas before we left for Norway. The new WE release is much nicer except for the units I mentioned in my earlier post.

To be frank, I hate the horses, but they are standard GW fare. I suggest that if your combine orders you should be able to get some WE gear from a German shop at a discount. I know I ordered a schwack (Canadian blue-collar <blue-collar mean folks who work with their hands> word that means a lot) of GW stuff from a German shop while I was living in Norway with the agreement that they did not charge me any shipping charges (which offset the customs charge).

Thanks Kenneth :)

As for the minis I ain't saying all of them are all this cool. The spirits crawling all over the dragon are silly. The surfing warhawk riders are weird, the "entangled flashers" (uh, "direct only" wardancers) don't suit my taste, and the elf surfing over the dragon is probably inspired by what Legolas did :P

Some of them are pretty cool - I think they are different to whsat I expected, but some of them surprised me in the positive way. I love the new highborn for example.

As for GW horses - Gw seems to have knack for making hopeless horses. The bretonnian ones were an attempt of fixing this, but the best horse so far is probably Archaon's steed. :P And I really HATED the old elf steeds with canoe-like heads and childish look. The new ones are still not perfect, but I like them much more....

I won't be getting this army, I think. I don't love them all THAT much. but they are pretty refereshing IMO.

I won't be getting this army as well but as Mahon said, It's refreshing! I actually like the new horses, they remind me of the first edition High Elf horses. It's also good to see that GW is finally making more choices of Lords, Heroes and Wizards so that we actually have a choice! :D
