I knew it'll be worthy sitting logged in late night ^^
interesting colors for sure - front especially; I wonder how are You going go paint the armour: classic nmm according to "official" rackham painting or maybe metallics?

He is now 95% ready. I have to touch up a couple of things, make a base and off to the photo booth.
I painted him in 3 parts (body, sword, shield). I normally try to avoid to paint in several parts due to the difficulties come up when assembling the painted parts. This happened now, too, there are quite visible gaps between the hands and body.
So here is the question: What do you guys do in similar situations? Do you get some GS, stuff it in and then repaint the area, or just leave it as it is?
I'm a bit afraid of doing GS work there, I don't want to screw up the painting. I think it turned out quite well (better than planned, he is basically a gaming piece)...
if I were You I'd varnish separated parts first to avoid damaging paintjob and after that - use gs as You mentioned to fill the gaps between them; once gs is dry You can paint it black or other dark tone to make it look like shade
