29mm from the base to the eyes. I am telling you thin not to boasty my paintjob, but to praise the sculpt - it's so detailed that I am afraid I cannot do it justice.
But anyway, here's the WIP, which will surely get worse as I will continue
I like the paintjob so far, but I think you need to pull the highlights and shades together a bit. Especially on the trousers. The face is great!
At first I thought it was a 54mm size btw, and this quality on such a detailed 28mm mini is great.
@ToMaZ - it's not pulling myself down. just my impressions after starting to paint this mini. as for the trousers - I already started repainting them. Increased contrast in some parts, desaturated the shadows, improved blending. I hope to go on today...
@LadyEyes - I don't say I can't paint. Only am afraid that doing this mini justice is still beyond me. Buy it and you'll understand why But it's a necessary step before the AE-WW2 stuff....
Thanks for encouragement, will try to keep you updated
the sculpt is incredible for such a mini (there is some personns like that who get others nervous....meyer, jacques alexandre)
it's a good beginning more highlight on the top of the trousers (add intermediate tones to get smoother the shadows/highlights) and go darker in the parts where there no ray light

didn't realise it can be worse* promissing job - it's great to know You find sometimes a minute or two to paint a miniature
I'm curious about the final effect and know what exactly 28mm, detailed minis mean:
Darkson's germans terrify me every time I think about laying base colors on them**
*that's a joke of course **fortunatelly they're based and ready for the painting!
Mahon, he's looking pretty good so far. Tanya and I drooled over the sculpt for a while already, so I know what you mean about not knowing if you'll do him justice. Now, forget about all of that and just paint him. Don't be intimidated, be inspired!
