I drive in it fairly frequently (like tomorrow I will), but all of my co-workers say I'm crazy to prefer driving to my meetings rather than taking the Metro. I worked down there for a while a couple years ago, and I learn my way around by memorizing maps, so it doesn't bother me. *shrug*
But you don't want to live INSIDE DC unless you have plenty of money typically. And you can't want quiet, because its always noisey (like London).
