WIP 'True' Scale Marine MK1:
[rimg]https://img184.imageshack.us/img184/4577/wip005ana6.jpg[/rimg]
The marine on the left is the orignal out of the box and measures around 32mm, the MK1 'True' Marine measures around 36mm roughly around 2m in 28mm scale terms.
After measuring the component parts i decided to lengthen the torso only. In terms of proportionality the Marines torsos are the shortest components. I am worried now that it is lengthed to much. To draw the eye away form this i removed the original belt and put in a new one made from plasticard, the larger belt buckle also gives a better sence of proportion. The longer torso meant that the original breastplate came up short, this was lengthed using greenstuff by about 2mm.
My biggest worry when looking at the model is the length of the mid-torso and whether I should have added some spacers into the legs instead of all torso.
I've done a dry run with the arms and weapons pinned but they need to be cleaned up a bit. More pics to follow
Any comments/suggestions on improvements that could be made for MK2 would be appreciated.
