'True' Scale Marines

I'm interested in doing some 'true' scale Space Marine minis. Has anyone ever done a similar conversion? If so what proportions etc did you change from the original models. I know that a 'true' scale Marine would be head and shoulders above a standard Imperial Guardsman, as they are supposed to be 8ft tall. I was thinking of an average height of about 37/38mm.

As i said if anyone has any hints/tips or images of conversions they've seen i'd be greatful.

I remembered a tutorial on the Bolter and Chainsword forums. It's found here. The pics are gone, but he describes it pretty good.
