I whole heartedly agree with Trov's sentiments. Personally I kn0w I am a hack painter and envy those of you who can paint even remotely better than I can, and this guy is definitly very well done in my eyes.

Good explanation Trov on which I whole heartedly agree!

Yes, CoC is a good place for painters who are either just starting, want to improve or have 'arrived' already. The melow attitude is somewhat refreshing to me and has gotten me to start painting again! (now, I just gotta figure out the camera I have lying around here now.)

Folks, such hijacking is constructive and important, indeed. It shows the "shy" ones they (and their opinions) are welcome here. I ma glad you like the way it is and will do my best to keep the friendly atmosphgere here.

As for the mini - I personally rather like it. It's not a GD-winning piece, but it seems Demi_morgana *is* able to paint Nurgle minis and the style suits him fine :)
I am one of those who don't like this mini itself. I also don't like the skeleton on the blade - it's too massive to allow anything else to be done with the sword. Maybe some feeling of sharpnes would be useful, which colud be achieved by bright (yet very thin) lines along the edges.

hym ... lets see - base :good ,Armor : good (of corse if you tray to achivea dirty grean not a norgle radiating grean) helmet - good but the hairs from the scull ... meybe other color they look like horms ...
Shild : good bit im not shure that another blending + rusty efect (gore red + black - end some glases) will add a good filing. Sword : hymmm good but a litle lightning from jade grean or just white ???? (skeleton - suck)
end somthing thats i advice to doo - an ay in the sword :) - do it like gem grene one or red it will add a aye cathing point to the mini
end about NMM - the yasest isa Gold - tray gold on somthing you dont like then a defrent colots end at last steal - it ishardest (i think)

exactly - I wanted to make the armour dirty or rotting in some way;
I know the hair are similiar to horns but I was afraid the more eye-catching colour would ruin nurglish colour scheme I've chosen

now when I look at the photo I think You're right - rusty shield could be a good idea :wink: the sword is not exactly what I wanted to achieve but I still can't use nmm technique so I train it as often as I can :D

thank You for comment and advices

I like the mini too. I had not much time over the weekend to post my comment, but I also agree with the previously written posts, that you shouldn't be too shy with posting your figures on commenting, regardless on which level you are.

So to the mini: I think you'll have good chances selling it (as far as I remember you wanted to sell it :) ). I think the chain mail and the back of the armor could be a bit more cleaner. Maybe the green color for the blade was not that lucky choice, but the overall look turned out to be nice. The shild could also benefit one more highlight.

I like the leather gloves and boots, I always have difficulties painting good leather, but this one looks really good.

:)
