Green with black scales
bright green with dark red scales
Purple with orange scales
Purple with blue scales
Brown with red scales...
whitish with 'whatever color you want' scales
The possibilities for lizardmen are endless
I would try this: khaki underbelly, shaded with a green/brown highlighted to white. And green scales with black stripes. Crocodile style.
