Sorry for the bad quality of pic, but I'm still learning how to make good photos.
One strange thing is that, the armour is shining like covered by gloss varnish, but it isn't...

I like the colors you chose, and the frehand on the shoulderpad seems to be pretty cool too! I'm waiting for the finished mini :)

I know what you mean with the shine as I have that problem as well.

So far it looks good and you don't have to be shy over here! We are all painters looking to improve themselves, be it starters or veterans so to say!

The Freehand looks promising as well, something I'm not really good at!:)

Hmm, I can't decide if I like colours or not... I'll wait for pics, when it's ready :)
have you got pic of the back? I'd like to see that freehand.

Heya, the gold nmm looks very nice, especially on the shoulderpad. I like the freehand too. I think that you need to higlight te red more though. As it looks a bit flat.

And of course welcome to the boards :)

First of all I have to say, that this is my third mayby fourth mini that i have painted after 6 year break... Before i was simply applying the paint and drybrushing but now im trying to learn how to build smooth layers, how to use glazes, washes etc...

The photo is so badly taken that all my layering work (on the armour) is invisible... There is a lot of them (layers) and the armour is realy shaded and higlighted.

Nameless:
This is back photo... the free hand is nothing special, couse i'm still learning...

If this is your 6th mini after a 6 year brake than you are doing great,
nice freehand (looks a little like the one in the showcase section from the 40 k rule book ).
Waiting to see it finished.

I'v never seen 40k rulebook showcase section... It's inspired by Jen haley's EC... But when I'm looking on her painjob i now that there is looong way before me..

Tomaz: The armour is more purple than red (bad photo quality) and it is shaded and highlighted...
