Cynwäll Dragon

Post by Edimasta »

Since working at the nefarius clone made me crazy (didn't get the nmm to work... argl) i started another projekt which is more interesting to me - the cynwäll dragon!

Very cool mini... but the assembling is HORRIBLE... no part is fitting well, i had to resculpt many things... also 4mm of the tail are missing and not fitting, so... much work with the sculpting.

Colors will be from Jade green to an icy blue and the flesh from violet to flat flash...

I also started to highlight the scales on his long neck... final highlights missing cause I want to fit it to the icy blue, so the pattern fits!

My dragon will "stand" on a rock... for this I had to sculpt half of his tail, cause it was very flat to make him stand on a flat base.

You can see the drill holes for stabilizing him...

So hope you like it so far - looking forward to any comments or ideas :)

Seems like a great topic which should draw much attention to your work. The dragon looks very promising now, but I hope you know what a big task you undertook

Did some improvements on the base, to make it more realistic:

that base looks great. I'm gonna steal some colour ideas from you :)

I can't wait to see more of the dragon!

Continued work on the long neck and his scales, also on the head... still a lot to do :)

I'm aiming for a darker, more natural skin-tone and color-pattern... to make this dragon look more realistic.

Since I've got a bad cold in the last days, I was just able to do some simple things... most of the other time I spent in bed

Hope you still like it, I'll do my best to get more of it done, 'cause I started working in a new company...
