Copies or Scibor's original works? (Copyright issues)

Ok, I kept relatively quiet during the various debatse on Scibors one-offs as I don't really care too much about them but this is a different kettle of fish.

I'll phrase this is a question. Aren't those directly pirated Games Workshop heads on the Dwarf, the servant and the guy on the Orcs back?

Then why do they all look 'exactly' like the same terminator head? The one that Scibor admitted to press moulding here "Head is copy of plastic head from GW plastic terminators pressed in silicon molds - in that box is only one head and I made mold to get some copies."

When you only use one head for the majority of your miniatures and it's the illegal one then I'm sorry but that's piracy.

That's nice, but I don't recall mentioning any ogres. Some of those heads are clearly a press moulded terminator head which has been slightly fiddled with while wet and the 3 heads on the miniatures I did mention don't even seem to have been changed even that much (which would still be piracy).

If he's press moulded a head then it's childs play to smooth out a forehead wrinkle or squash a nose etc. Perhaps if he presented a male head that wasn't either a bald terminator head or a bald terminator head with some strings of green stuff stuck on it? I'm sorry but until then I will continue to believe his own words and call piracy on these.

Well, they look very similar, but I don't accuse people unless I am pretty sure. This wasn't my comment to either Demi's or your statements. Just my opinion on accusations. I don't have reasons not to trust Demi_morgana, and OTOH why shouldn't I trust you, Artemis?

BTW - nice collection of heads, Demi_morgana!

sure they are similar and i think theres a reason for that...

Wen i sculpt something my brain and then tecnique assimilates that to my roll of abilities, for me its like a magnet... i think since scibor sculpted so much GW stuff his brains also assimilated that to his roll and now he does them almost without thinking of it...

Mind this is my opinion based on what happens to me when i sculpt and its pure speculation on how other artists in this case scibor works

calling artists pirates based only on what you believe and not on what you know is fallacious.

Well in the end it's not up to me, nobody can do much about it except GW. I have no idea if they care or not.

As for me, I wouldn't stock them if somebody paid me. When a sculptor admits to piracy for his one-offs, then goes on to produce dozens of 'one-offs' with that same pirated part then comes out with a miniature line that all seem to have the same head then I don't really know what else to call it.

I also have to raise an eyebrow at some of the parts on those bases. I can see the same head amongst them a, very GW looking torso and a very GW looking power fist.

I had to get this pic to show it to some folks on rather "naughty" english forum...
and I think I've met Artemis there for the first time...
