OK seems the sensible idea, the little I do paint will all be here from now on.
With that, heres my WIP so far of Bane.
All the top pipes snapped so were replaced with guitar strings.

Base, mid tones and highlights on the skin done.
Now just need to decide where to do the shadows, and how heavy.
I think the skin could do with a glaze. Will either do a green or go with Oxford blue.

Highlights tightened up, and shadowing and a bit of chest hair added. May revisit the shadowing after I have done more to him, as there will be a lot more going on.

Re: atacams WIP Thread
Thanks.
Had some really good suggestions on this with colour addition, but, with that in mind I am just going to push on, pick tips/fixes up on the way then if it needs it tighten everything up at the end.
So..
Trousers done, dont think they should be any dirtier, maybe a little higher, but I keep wanting to keep this guy a bit muted, as it suits the dark comic feel.

Re: atacams WIP Thread
I think I'd increase the contrast... deeper shadows in some places, stronger highlights in other.

I have pretty much gone as far as I feel comfortable with yellow added. Dont really want to just go the white route as it turns it a bit peach in colour. What would you recommend?Nameless wrote:I think I'd increase the contrast... deeper shadows in some places, stronger highlights in other.
Had a PM on Facebook asking to show some WIP shots of the NMM stages, so heres the start. I wont be able to show them all, as I will have to work fast on some stages.
Ignore the belt, I forgot and got carried away base coating the metal!!!

you mean the pants? I'd go with dark brown to deepen shadows, not play with highlights.atacam wrote:I have pretty much gone as far as I feel comfortable with yellow added. Dont really want to just go the white route as it turns it a bit peach in colour. What would you recommend?
