Scifi battleground: (space ships/station etc)

Post by Skrit »

Ola peeps, I wanted to ask your opinion about something:

Forge World has released this set a while ago,

https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-4 ... S-SET.html

I actually did not know of it untill my bro showed me some stuff he was working on.
Basically he found the stuff too expensive and decided to make his own. Wips;

Now I myself don't know if there would be interest for these when finished but they could form a more affordable variant of the Forge World one. My brother could do with some cash so I thought I'd ask around what uo guys think. Maybe an crowdfunding campaign might be the right path for him. He's planning to make many more vaiants (these are just the masters) and also power stations/generators, holding tanks etc.. He should finish up the tiles above soon and start on the wall sections.

Of course these aren't finished just yet but knowing my bro he can do just as well as Forge World. I suggested him to do a more scfi version instead of the gothic one they do so it will be interesting to a broader audience.

Please share your thoughts me mateys! :D

sorry, can't really help you with bits and terrains. good luck to your bro, WIP looks quite good.
I understand you don't want to release it under your range?

Well, not put any money into it for sure. But I'll help him set the campaign up and get my cut if I would do it under my range. It might be interesting and a good way to expand my company maybe...

The ground looks good and i think there are people who would buy, but be sure to have space for walls between tiles.

Dont forget besides mortalis you have also space crusade :mrgreen:

I really like the idea and so far, even as a wip, it looks great.

Exactly, there are tons of games where this would come in handy!

@Panda: I asked that same quetion but he said there is plenty of room for the wall sections. I've only seen pics but should be able to judge for myself somewhere next week when I go to his house! :)

I think this is great idea and if the price is like 50%lower then it would be a great success!

50% might be abit too much but definitly way more affordable. I'll know once we have casted a few. Who knows, maybe it will be half! :)
