This is my first mini in quite some time (except for a one off eldar far seer) and is my re-introduction to painting.
It's also the first time with the new GW paints. I used to use the original paints back when they came in the pots P3 paints are now in. I loved them. Loved the smell, the random consistency and the way they gunked up the lids.
Later paints were 'better' but I was never quite so ay home with them.
Anyway I recently had chance to have a quick try with the latest GW paints and really like them. The glazes seem especially nice and the layer paints suit me too. So I ordered myself the ultimate paint kit. It arrived this afternoon, so I dug up this old bust I had in a draw.
Still getting used to the new paints and how they settle and definitely need more thinning but getting happier as I go.
First stages done:
