Jay's Wargame Painting - Project Space Wolves

Post by J W P »

Hello Folks

I like to intodruce myself with this Post and my works comming up or already done

This time i spend my work for a Space Wolves Landraider and tried to make him outstandng with some add ons and a level 4 Higher TT Painting.

To make the Rust i used the "Salt Technique" combined with the "Wipe Off Technique"
Using those techniques a great realistic used effect on the whole modell.

In the normal out of the Box Land Raider are no Space Wolves drivers added so i searched my bitz box and also added some Forge World Icons and things.

Generally it looks good, much weathering and I like it. For critique I would say that armour lacks contrast and it is hard to see the details on the armour. So next time I would suggest to spend more time on this step before going to weathering.
A very good reference would me Ctan's tanks, check his works here:

I agree with sea.man the entire thing looks a bit pale. Heavier highlights and some more shading is welcome here. I check the pics on your blog and there's some nice detailing on there like the banners and purity seals you did.
