Sorry the pic is to small to say anything use full about the mini.
But for my personal taste in bases, ill go with dark or muted colors colors as bright colors kinda makes the base dominate the mini.

all Viuers - cclick on CMON link - ther is large scale this photo as posted above is almout thumbinal . .

After looking at the cmon pic, and putting aside what has already been said about the base, i think you should add more contrast to the mini's green. You could shade it with brown for example and highlight with yellow, to break a bit the "all" green impression it gives right now.
