CHEF

Post by ToMaZ »

Here's my version of Chef from black scorpion miniatures
Got him yesterday (Scarabstudios sended it to me: Thanx man :D) and I started painting on him yesterday evening. Finished him this morning. Total of 4 or 5hours
I tried lonewolf's blood technique on it. I had this bottle of tamiya clear red for ages and never got a really suitable mini to use it on.. untill now :P

Hope you like him.

thats a pretty nice job you did! The gore on the cleaver is very nice. The red seems to be too red though. I do like the skin colour, and the base is quite interesting too! Looks like a pie!

If that is a pie, I feel sorry for the poor guy that was hacked to pieces to get in there

Good job, I really like the cleaver and knife, the blood is a little red, but looks nice and fresh. Nice skin color too. The base is interesting, is it turned upside down?

Is this what you look like at work? :P

thanx guys. I had a great time painting him and I'm glad that you seem to like him.

@ scarabstudio: the base is turned upside down to fit the casted base in it :) It happened to turn out in a pie shape. I was tempted to do a pie, but the problem is that I didn't know how to 'sculpt' it.

I don't look like him at work... I have my face and hands covered in blood and fish parts when I'm working :D He does look like my boss though, with the triple chin and all that ;)

yup, nice job, except that the base seems strange to me, curved floor? and would anyone share how to thin down the tamiya clear red? water ? or sth else?

The base is more or less kitchen tiles. And I use thinner to thin the clear red, as it is alcohol based. And use an older brush, it ruins them pretty fast ;)

and thanx :)
