Yes and no. The thing is that GW is giving peoples lots of opportunities to use units of various types, but don't give the real opportunities to actually build those units with other options. Those companies are nice alternatives for players who like to a) personalize their armies differently than the common ones of GW b) players who like to use other options that are available on codexes but not in GW boxes since they slack to release them or don't provide enough in the boxes.
Thoug it's true that some companies provides good stuff, for some others it's just another poop thingy :mrgreen:

Non "ultramarines" swords? Eventhough, it's the omega symbol, they'll prolly get a slap from GW for those markings I think

Nope, but those are really close than the usual look of the swords GW is doing for their Ultramarines.

as usual, it doesn't matter if it "looks like GW", but if it breaches their trademarked rights.
if this sword is not a copy of the GW sculpt and it doesn't include any trademarked elements, they are free to go. after all, it's just their interpretation of a "SF weapon based on roman swords and greek alphabet", right? ;)
