it's been a while since I last posted, but I've been a busy man
my latest work is something I'm very proud of. I don't know why, but it feels like a big step forward for me . ( bleh I say that every time sorry if I bore you with this )
I used soft colours with subtle highlighting, and I tried to get the blendings as smooth as possible, especially on the clothes. while this is a pretty nice looking miniature, I think she has a very provoking pose, like she's saying cmon boy try to get me, see how far you get before I plant an arrow between your eyes.
Very nice paintjob on this one.. I know how hard it is to get all those folds, straps and other Klocke-details right, and you did just fine! The base looks good too, what did you use to make the bumpy surface?
My friend, this is a nice paint job, and may be the photo will be better if u put more light source from the left hand side, now it seems that the left hand side lacks of light a bit.
Very interesting skintone which reminds me dark elves from PC game called Morrowind. I like this
As for the technical side the painting is really smooth and colours you used suits that figure well.
I realy like skintone I though that it is not possible to paint that kind of mini in such a nice dark tones...IMO base could have been better, but it is still a very good job.
the base just doesn't show very nicely on the pictures :/ It really looks better in real life I must say.
@hosea : you are absolutely right. I used only light coming from the right side ... I am too lazy to get a decent lighting setup, so I will have to live with mediocre light settings
@Zolwik : I have played Morrowing for a very long time and now that you say it there is a striking resemblance
