How to convert or sculpt a miniature? How to make a decent base or even a full diorama?!

I use bicarbonate of soda mixed with pva glue that has been a little watered down, mix this into a paste and apply it with an artists spatula which you need to keep wet to avoid the mix sticking to it and not getting a nice even coverage of the snow mix, when this is done sprinkle more bicarbonate of soda over the top of your wet snow mix and leave to dry, once this is dry you can blow off the excess soda and this gives a nice crystaline appearance to the snow, I've used it a few times now and it works a treat.

LastRebel, what country are you in? Sometimes we can recommend places and things better if we know where you are.

I THINK bicarbonate of soda or bicarbonate sodium is what I would know as Alka Seltzer. Anybody know if that's correct?
