i know that mini
this is new 1 or old 1 ??
i got feeling that you made basse separatltfor mini end havent actualy check if they fit together well - in color maner
at the curent state you will get dominating orange - yellow from mini end erthy / brown from base so ther will be no key element on whole mini
imnot gona write about theory https://massivevoodoo.blogspot.com/2010/ ... lours.html
Jarhead alrdy do that
- check this article end closing world + examples od painted minis - Key element is in contrast with rest - cold /warm (you got only warm atm )
It's an Old metal one. I got it from Splat on DP as part of the challenge
The second pic is taken a bit later than the base. I'll try and get one of the base and the mini together. She's actually quite earthy in colour.
Nice colours on Ejhin. The horns look good! I would try to work in some different shades into the robe. Some blue in the deepest shades for contrast maybe. As the base colour has a yellowish hue to it.
Here's another WIP. This time it's a 54mm Pegaso piece. A British Hussar from 1815.
This guy is being painted up for my Brother's 50th Birthday (I did a French Lancer for my oldest brother a couple of years back).
The backstory is that my brothers and I always played Napoleonic battles with Airfix models. Mark, the oldest was always French, Andrew (middle) was British and I always ended up with the Prussians
Anyway - Mark got a French Lancer for his 50th so Andrew is getting this fella.
so it is 1/16 i assume ??
good part of this scale is - things are biger
bad part - skin reqire a lot more atencion as scale provides posibility to put more colors in mid tones wich actualy make details intresting .. end skin is actualy quite colorfull
end about red color - in this particular unifor it whas little purple - somthing like Scrab red but brighter
I'm not sure about the 1/6 scale. He's 57mm to the eye - that's a GW 40mm base he's attached to.
I have had other comments on the skin and I don't think my camera has caught some of the lighter shades. I've used some Oxford Blue and Deep Sea Green in there. I will try and enhance it further though.
That's interesting about the red. I will try and bear that in mind. I was going to highlight up to Blood Red and shade it back a touch with Leviathan Purple wash. Do you think that would work?
