I wonder if some works aren't even done by him anymore but more by others under his mentorship.

Last time I enquired him his prices were VERY good so I think the quality and volume really helped out him to establishing as one of the best.

Yes sometimes he does this, but then it's mentioned on his blog. For example the Freebooter amzones weren't done by him.
