I played another game of warmachine at the weekend. Cygnar vs Circle. i lost quite quickly, perhaps i should read a bit more about the mechanics of hordes as i don't quite understand it all yet.

Re: So... What did you play today?
I am sure you were doing fine, just hordes armies are tricky damn bastards...

Re: So... What did you play today?
Don't worry, regarding Warmachin/Hordes, the usual rate is that when you start, the first five games are the one that you'll prolly lost everytime
And since you've been changing army, you should lost a few mores, but it's the time the mechanics of the game gets set, then you'll start winning ^^
Re: So... What did you play today?
Well i think i need to familiarise myself with the rules first of both systems and then get used to playing with a set army and build upon that

Re: So... What did you play today?
well all you really must change is gaming plan:
in hordes special rules are split among models (animi) but otoh warlocks are weaker than warcasters

Last weekend I played WH40K 'Destruction Derby' tank battle in Wroclaw (plus dreadnoughts and defilers).
Every year there is a competition for best tank in WH40K, it is chosen several battles - tank that survives 4 different battles.
If tank was destroyed, you could place a soldier with heavy weapon.
For those who feel bored at work, you can find some cool stories based on the event:
