The colour on these look so vibrant and the detail is excellent. The metallics and cloth looks really good, but i feel the skin tones bring down the level a little as they make them look like models rather than more realistic. Strangely enough I think it's either the colour choices for your shading or that there may be too much shading on areas where the skin would not normally be as dark. That's just my guess but I wonder if others can help shed light on it, but something about the skin doesn't quite look right to me, more so on the second model than the first.

For the metal of the gladiator?

@ Artica: yes, perhaps the skin tones do not seem to be very realistic, but as I painted 30 fantasy minis before these 2 pieces, I love to play with colours for the skin.
So, I used purple, turquoise green, etc... on some parts for the shades. 8)

bouths - if you add dirt on skin difrent then am armour it dont look good :)
