Can someone please give me a summary of what GW has been up to the past two months with their resin releases?

As you might have noticed I've been away from the forums for a while, but also from the painting table and all mini-related resources on the web...

What's the purpose of these resin releases? Are they for painters? Or do they replace metal releases? What will GW do with the resin in the future? I heard good and bad things about the resin miniatures, but the general trend seems to that they lack a lot of quality, especially bubbles and shifted molds.

I also heard something about another price rise for the plastics, is that right?

Thanks for the update!

Nothing much, changed metal into crappy cast resin and put the prices up, screwing over customers worldwide and I guess you're up to date! ;)
Nothing new I guess...

Wayland Games stops selling Citadel Finecast, after finding out that (after sampling 60 blisters) more than 50% of the packs contained casts with serious faults.

AMAZING! From all those huge monsters and terrains and minis the ONLY ONE I find it good is the Vampire Counts Necromancer... the monsters all suffer from ridiculous proportions and huge silly cartoon bobble heads its freaking ridiculous... what a waste of plastic and the ratio of good sculpts in this huge batch is incredibly low IMO.

I pretty much agree with Navarro here.. the beasts look uninspiring, cumbersome, even a bit silly. Although I think the Chimera is wonderfully painted.
The dark elf dreadlord looks ok in my opinion, and is also very well painted.

The terrain kits look great, a must buy for every player I think (I'd buy it :)).

The characters all look like I've seem them somewhere else already. Oh and are they resin?
