Re: Scott Radom's stuff.
Nope, nothing sold. Starting price on the Chaos Nurgle dwarf was 19.99 and no biters. I relisted it at a starting point of 99 cents and it is up to around 12 buckd now with a ton of watchers and the auction ending this sunday. The little plain looking chaos dwarf sorcereor is up to around 10 bucks so far. Really I am not expecting too much from these guys, quick paint jobs of inexpensive mini's can only be expected to perform so much I think. Thanks for asking!
Re: Scott Radom's stuff.
sold them? you have to make a counter in you footprint
what are you going to paint next?

Re: Scott Radom's stuff.
Yeah I sold them, but one buyer hasn't paid yet. Sigh.... this chaos dwarf thingy is cursed. Cursed I says! Assuming it does go the counter would be at around $11.75 in profit after expenses and the cost of the next mini I am selling (My MaxMini Grot soviet general. Cheap cost of around 4$). I am including eBay fees, CMON auction credits, and basically everything except the paypal fee's for currency exchange and transfering to my bank account. So that's two mini's sold, assuming I get payment for that Chaos Dwarf, and a third listed for asn auction listed until next sunday. And $11.75 in my ePocket. So if anything I am really showcasing that I am NOT going to make it rich selling my work on the internets. What I am actually working on right now is a contest entry for the Bane Legions contest over on WAMP. It started out as a real labour of love and I am doing my best to keep interest in it. Hopefully it comes out OK. Of course I'll post some pics when I have it all done up. Also work is really getting in the way of painting and such. Long hours selling meat as high season is just around the corner. Thanks for the interest man and I'll keep it all up to date here!

I won't post my personal opinion of the mini yet, I don't want to bias any input I might get. Thanks for looking!
Re: Scott Radom's stuff.
The base is pretty good, nice and interesting. The metallics are quite nice but i noticed you started doing some green weathering on it but i think perhaps it could do with a bit more and a bit stronger in colour too. The skin is the weakest part of the model for me, the chest area the blends are too abrupt and for me the contrast could be alot more stronger and because there is such a large area of it i feel with your skills you could have done a bit more with that rather than going for speed. I sort of feel that way lately about many of your models in that you seem to be doing quantity over quality in a short period of time. I do rather like the head piece and the axe, but i think with the axe you could have given a slightly shinier feel to the edging like you did on the metal leg. The head in my opinion is one of the strongest parts on here however for me the focal point seems to be the metal leg and everything is a little too monotone.
I hope that's not too harsh
but i think you'd appreciate a more critical comment, i've seen most of your stuff and I know what you can do.

Re: Scott Radom's stuff.
like :
Base
but could be more natural .. - more colors hiden in over all browns end more of flora acents - look at Jared Base Tutorials - he throw on them so much details ..
end this leads to pigments - non of from base ends on legs / boots oreny other part of the mini
over all tech end blending
Dont like :
Color selection
Bones almoust same gama end color as cloath - they meld - if you change temperature of one of thous things another would actualy pop up
RED - how you paint it ?? as from some time you get same effect - Tomato wich is cool ocasionaly but actualy dont fit this mini
this mini reminds me some other .. Wandyr the bloodthirsty from "R"
wich i painted ... some time ago end now i would do difrent
so back to the Skin - it lacks "light"
wich is suprisingly on armured leg
this 1 . looks bit rushed .. end i dont get whats goun on with Axe

Re: Scott Radom's stuff.
As always, really appreciate the feedback!
I am glad I didn't put down any of my own personal comments. I really am super grateful for the crit's as I enjoy getting better. I will say I spent at least 30 hours on the mini! So even though it looks rushed in areas (No arguements here! The pics speak for themselves!) I did put my sunday best into the mini. Thanks for taking the time to comment guys, some very usefual stuff in there. I think the skin (which I spent the most time on) actually looks worse because I kep on going back to it and trying to highlight and shade it, and blew out the mid tone as mentioned.
Great point about the bones!
The axe is supposed to look like it's got some weird kind of Nurgle-esque fleshy growth on it. I think I likely should have thought it out better, seeing as the colour is the same as the robes (and bones).
Red... I do like the way I paint the red but I agree I should add another method next time I try it. I'll start a thread in the approriate section to talk about painting red! Appreciate the honest comment man.
Thanks so much. It's very easy to improve the averall look of my mini's with such specific comments. Much appreciated!
