I think Mike, with his neutral style, is a perfect judge for a huge competition like this one.

he would surely be a great choice for any contest, but I think that we are still more concerned with public part of the voting

Pictures are really bad for an event of this scale (15.000 USD prize money). A lot of them are over-exposed, probably due to the black background and leaving the camera on automatic. I'm busy voting for 10 minutes and so far the quality level has been quite low, not something I'm used seeing at a painting competition.
