Hi all,

here whats going on

A velvet red cape and the pursue of a better metal

So what do you think? i think the metal needs a work on the highlights, but im i on a good path?

wich metal??? :shock: i only see a black hammer end photo of well painted red cloak ..
from wich i mey sey the cloak isrealy good
some deeper shadows under the fur (zenital) end itwill look realy good

yes Panda, you're on a good path. now highlight it :) and then think about adding some colours with glazing.

Cloak looks really good! Maybe a tad more shading, not too deep. It doesn't really look like velvet though. I think that it's a very difficult type of fabric to paint on such a small mini, because it's slightly texturised, and has a diffused reflection of light...

The hammer, well you have it shaded enough. It really needs highlighting.

So i decided to restart my 30th White dwarf Bday mini, so heres what i have done so far with Gotrek, still lots to do

I wanted to give him a chearfull look and a happy "too much beer" face, thoughts and critics always welcome

The skin tones are looking really quite nice, i'd be tempted to darken some of the shadows in the deeper areas, and will you be doing tattoos on him? :) or warpaint perhaps?

i will add some kind of tatoo on the weapon shoulder, since the other will be below a shield

Has for stronger shadows i can only do that after all is done, for now the face is done, i added stronger shadows just to find out that he was loosing the cheerful drunk look :( so i went back to a middle.

As for me the face looks very good! What base are you planning to do?
