Re: Mantic Games news
The guy who painted these is actually very talented (IMO). I know these pieces aren't up to his usal great standard. Tommie Soule is his net handle, or real name I dunno. I am a fan of his work typically.

That`s funny, why a company doesn`t want a painter to do his best? The want to sell as much as possible and I assume that nicely painted minis sell better.ScottRadom wrote: I know these pieces aren't up to his usal great standard.

I think they do have some money. They got Alessio Cavatore to write the rules for their game...Nameless wrote:because they don't have money? don't think it's a good investment?czlowiek.morze wrote:That`s funny, why a company doesn`t want a painter to do his best? or maybe that's where all their money went, no budget for painters anymore
Re: Mantic Games news
I don`t think so, also I don`t think that painting 3 miniatures (previous batch) costs that much, $200-$300? From they image I assume they want to be world wide known GW-alternative company.Nameless wrote:because they don't have money?
There were few companies that had weird business logic and most of them were frenchNameless wrote:don't think it's a good investment?

Re: Mantic Games news
Well i guess that some less known painters would do a better job with just a few miniatures has payments
Re: Mantic Games news
quite a few companies got some good paintjobs just in exchange for minis
and why don't they announce a contest with prizes being boxes of their minis, and reserving the right of using images for their store/announcement/boxart?
ideas are many, and I don't believe they didn't have them. they probably chose not to use good paintjobs. maybe they're afraid they might scare gamers away?

Re: Mantic Games news
Maybe they are not inclined to glue the company to high standarts of painting... and just average gamming TTpainting is just fine for them.
