didnt we have that topic somehere? basically i listen to...think they call it pop-rock - Bon Jovi, U2, Gotthard... brit-pop: Bryan Adams, Robbie Williams,...
and whatever sounds like "modern" rock, grunge, 80ies rock and everything in between, whatever catches my ears.
Also I like melodical Trance, like Chicane (some of you maybe know "Saltwater" that features the vocals of Clannad's front lady)...
I can live with good old metal but dont really like most of the stuff that got any prefix "death", "speed",... really gives me headaches, same for techno, hardcore and the like. I absolutely hate german hip hop and most of the "I fecked more biatches and am richer than you bling bling" hip hop and rap. (but that's just me of course...)
though I have to admit that when I was younger I liked 2pac.

i listen to about anything, not the biggest fan of rap or death speed black metal. I like early country: Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, Willy Nelson etc. I like 50s 60s 70s 80s rock/pop. Not scared of Jazz, i like swing, hell even some songs from Disney movies(Robin Hood) Some of my favorite bands right now include The Raveonettes, Ween, White Stripes, David Byrne, Concrete Blonde, Devo, Grateful Dead, Air Supply, The Decemberists, Flogging Molly, The Killers, The Cure, Vendetta Red, The Coral, John Denver, Millencolin, Lou Barlow, Mason Jennings, Spoon, Regina Spektor, At the Drive Inn, Eagles of Death Metal, The Mekons, Handsome Family, Hot Hot Heat, My Morning Jacket, Kings of Leon......and the list does go on, but i will stop
For a favorite song, i have two: Crimson and Clover by Tommy James and the Shondells, and Earth Angel by Marvin Berry(the one in Back to the Future) Danced to that at my wedding. I recently listened to a band called Zornick(thanks to tomaz) and i have to say i am liking what i've heard.

I don't exactly know what you mean under techno, but I can't stand that pink plastic techno what flows from the taps nowadays
.
I do listen to music made with electronic equipment, mostly electropop, like Apoptygma Berzerk, Pride and Fall, Covenant etc. I also listen to certain mixes from DJs like John Digweed. Faithless, Prodigy, Portishead, Juno Reactor, Thievery Corporation, LTJ Bukem are a representative selection of what my favourites are from this line.
I also listen to all kinds of music like Faith No More, Fun Lovin Criminals, Gorillaz, RHCP, Metallica, Apocalyptica or albums like the Cafe del Mar and the Hotel Costes CDs. Sometimes I also listen to a limited selection of hip-hop and rap songs, some old school like De La Soul and Afrika Bambaata, some newer like Snoop Dogg and Cypress hill songs. One of my favourites on this line is the french group called Manau, especially the album Panique Celtique.

Sorry, but if you say pretty much anything but threaten violence at the mention of Dolly Parton, the Indigo Girls, or the Atomic Fireballs then you don't really mean anything.
