My Eldar from UKGD 05

Post by steveb »

This guy is my other main entry from this year's GD. It's a completely sculpted Eldar Ranger (30mm).

No demon for this guy though. Still, I'm pretty happy with him. Sculpted and painted under time constraints...

Saw the green and must say another excellent sculpt and paintjob Steve! So this didn't win? Then the competition must have been very high indeed!

wow, it looks very nice. I like the browns you used. Very jedi looking! You really should release a male elf in your line as they will look are great if this is any indication (if you do, make one of the bald like this cause I quite like the look!). Is this painted on green or did you cast it first?

Wonderful thing, Steve. As it was said, the competition must've been pretty tough if it didn't place...
Wil you add such minis to the Spyglass range?

I'm sure I'll do some more efly types for Spyglass at some point. This fig was not cast before painting, so the paint is right on the green. He couldn't be cast anyway, the robes are free flowing and would trap too much rubber.

Thanks for all the comments :)

The browns on his coat. Basecoat was scorched brown and highlighted up to an equivalent coat'd'arms colour of Graveyard Earth (I mixed a pot and can't remember exactly how I made it). Fine highlights by adding Bleached Bone
