New miniature started - Falkar The Wandering Sword from Andrea. Just started with his leather cape, prepared the fur and painted areas with black for future metalics. Pictures taken only with mobile phone.

Todays progress on Falkar - I removed scratches from sabretache (for future processing), finished that wooden stick and all those straps. Also worked on fur (I don't say it's final version, but it's fairly good for now).

I love the detailing on the ropes, they should look great when the whole thing is finished including the ones on the bedroll.

Which animal is the fur supposed to be from?
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

New Scibor's releases - looking good so far... Compared with plastic GW space marine (custom build from Command Squad sprues)...

it looks that SMM has significantly improved quality of their casts. First minis were pretty poor actually, then my copy of dwarf bust was ok (some imperfections like air bubbles), these look pretty good - at least on that small pic :)

I was playing with those small boys last evening, there were few small bubbles (it's present in places with hair, fur or so mainly) I was covering with 'milliput milk', but still I think their casting is better than before. It's also about the scale too - if you have 'few' bubbles on 54 mm dwarf, maybe you won't be able to find them, but if you have the same 'few' bubbles on 28 mm high detailed warrior, it might be pretty bad. Even on that decorated armour, hair & fur, which has become Scibor's trademark :) But those two were really OK. I was also surprised about quality of war-bear's casting, it's well detailed and 'hairy' beast, but the piece I've got was almost perfect.
