Hehehehe, I promise to not being so quick anymore... This was just special occasion with three days spent at home :) BTW: That NMM is not really NMM, it's just real metallic basecolor processed with NMM techniques (I mean that U symbol on the backpack, if it's all about the rim on right shoulderpad, then it's just white with some rusty additions). Something like Bohun does, but I don't have the skill and I must say that working with classic Vallejo acrylic metalics is real pain in the ass. Must try those alcohol-based metalics

After my yesterday's birthday today small package from Freebooter arrived, with hot new mini sculpted by Werner Klocke - Spitfire (not that famous WW II airplane). I can't pull my eyes off the mini all the day - it's wonderfully sculpted with lots of details, tons of character & sexappeal and almost no mouldlines or castind defects. This little lady is so detailed and tiny, so my camera reached its limits while photographing it. :) Tonight I'm going to drill some holes and glue some pins so I can start with her as soon as possible.

First few brushstrokes on freebooter's beauty pirate Spitfire. The Base... I also tested new alcohol-based metalics, so I have sword and big gun in progress.

Like the base so far, my only criticism is the dark under the glowing bottle, if it's glowing shouldn't the wood under the bottle be light up as well?
Didn't see this before... beautiful blues and great blending did you do this with an airbrush?
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

OK, I'll try to fix it :)

Airbrush? Nope, I don't even know how to work with an airbrush. It's painted with classic brush (Windsor & Newton 1 if you really want to know). See the final results here: https://www.chestofcolors.com/forum/view ... 05#p112016 or here https://coolminiornot.com/258590

Some W.I.P. photos from yesterday. I was playing with clothing and skin. Hair is just in basecolor. Today I'm working on it and trying to finish...

Todays progress on Spitfire - some brushstrokes on hair, some on skin, some on pants. Already posed on base. Pictures taken only with mobile phone, because mom took the camera in the morning. I will borrow my friend's camera for final photosession later...

Got one good and one bad news - Spitfire is finished now (that's the good one). Tomorrow I'll take some final photos on daylight, apply matt varnish and send her back to Germany :( (and that's the bad one)
