My names Daniel, and I'm a Gardener from Rochdale (A gloomy little town in the northwest of England). I recently got bitten by the painting bug after a long absence from the hobby, and have found my self browsing various painting forums in an attempt to learn and improve. I've just stumbled upon your site, and I have to say, you seem to have a really nice, close knit, and pleasant little community here. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.
Theres not really much to tell you about my self, I began painting back when I was at Highschool, after a friend intoduced me to a game called Warhammer Quest (Probabally around the mid 90s), and pretty soon we were into various other games, Warhammer, Necromunda etc. However after leaving school my friends grew apart and I lost interest in the hobby (The fact it was an expensive hobby and I was a poor teen didn't help either).
Its been about 10 years since I last touched a brush, but as I stated earlier, I recently found my self with an urge to start painting again (Though I have no intention to play again). I was always amazed by the skill and discipline of the professional painters, and always wished I could paint as well as them (and still do), and so my goal is to practice, practice, practice, and try somthing new on each miniature I paint from now on, so that maybe, just maybe, I may one day be half as talented as the Haley's and McVey's.
So far I have only fully completed one mini (Though I have a number of WIPs on the go, that I hope to share soon), I know there is still a lot of room for improvement so any Feedback/Suggestions/Critisism would be much apprieciated.
Mad Donna Ulanti:
Note the somthing new I tried on this mini was the chipped paint effect on the weapons, it didnt turn out very well, but its somthing I plan on practicing
