Judas Bloodspire - vampire

Post by Ana »

Hi, last week I trained to be better with metallics :)
Please tell me what could be better.

(I know. I am fed up with the stars, but I wanted to try to paint them, because when I started paiting minis, I considered this something very difficult . Now I don't think so) :D

beautiful work on the face, very smooth and expressive!

For the metallics: i think they are very nice, only i don't understand if the black on the sword wielding arm is a photo effect of the metallics or the true paint.

I like stars!:D

Yet another great piece from Ana, well done for that.

I love the face and cape, the face is smooth but I think he looks a little too human still - I would have done a slightly paler flesh tone. The cape I agree is great work, the blending of blue to red is well done and I like the stars on the back - gives it a more magical look.

Personally I like the metallics, the dark and slightly dull look gives the feeling that the armour is quite old and used. I like that look.

The cape is absolutely amazing! The armour looks a bit flat to me Imho... Maybe add some sharp highlights on the edges and maybe add some colour to it, say a very thinned blue wash for example.

another great one Ana, love it, specially the stars on the cape and the face. i think the base could have some diferent color nuances (brownish?) because its very similar to armour.

Keep up the good work.

Oh no, the photos are without a special effect  Mahon was doing his best at these photos. All louvers were lowered, so there can't be reflections from the sun :P
Everything is like on the mini.

You are right :)
Beside the torso the rest of the armour lacks the final highlights. :P
