I do remember Dennis. The Wartrack thing was quite funny. He'd basically said he was dissapointed that the Wartrack won bronze as it wasn't heavily converted (knowing we both do heavy Ork conversions) and his warbike missed out (which was scratchbuilt. He didn't know it was mine. I didn't take any offence as it's a valid point but GD judging is very subjective and I'd pushed far harder on painting than in previous years. Despite the lack of conversion I still think it was my best vehicle entry. Better than the two gold winners.
Did Dennis ever finish his Reaver Titan? I saw that half-done the same day and it was ridiculously awesome.

Hey Steve,
I just had a chat with him and he told me more specifically what happened. Basically the same story as you did. He felt rather stupid when he was cooled down and gave it some more thought. He liked your Wartrack but I guess it was more the moment of not winning then criticism at you personally! Ah well, we all have our foolish moments I guess. He just hopes no hard feelings!
His Reaver Titan... First let me tell you he's a lazy git that needs to be poked with a electric stick before he actually does something!
The chasis has been long finished and he just needs to detail the outside a bit more and make the interior and weapon on top. He says he's gonna finish it for GD 2006 but then again he's been saying that for two years now!
I think Forgeworld will have one released sooner then his is finished!
Ah well, the prospect of adding a couple of thousand of bolts on a large scale model like that is not working very possitively I guess!
(He did in the meantime make some killer Custodian models of all kind of variation though...)
Tim.
