I finished my first tale of gamers mini. The snakes don't look the same in the picture as they really do and the highlights in the feathers seem to have gone away in the pic as well.... But I think its the best mini I have ever painted. Let me know what you think I have 5 more of these things to paint so Critisize me!!!!! Click to see full-sized image Click to see full-sized image
yep - looks dead for sure
but If I can suggest You sth it would be:
-use more watered down paints, try to avoid thick layers of paint
-paint bleached bone drybrush on it's wings
Now that's one dirty dead bird...
I like how he looks, only try to drybrush only textured surfaces and use layering on the bone parts. When drybrushing you kinda lose control about where the paint goes... and wil make a mini look a bit sloppy sometimes. Layering will take more time, but it's cleaner, and you keep control. Also you can define the different parts better. Don't expect it to look pro in one time. Keep it as it is and you'll notice yourself improving. This one is a big step ahead from the nurgle sister for example. AND make the eye a bit brighter, to make it stand out
