Hey gang, I painted this Rincewind mini up for a challenge over on WAMP. Teh theme was "Look at my hat" and I purposely tried to sort of keep the colour on the mini proper sort of flat and boring looking. I tried shading with grey for the first time, as reccomended to me on this site (Can't remember who gave the tip, but I have to play with the concept more I think...). I tried to keep all the interesting stuff above the neck. I spent a lot of time on the face, and the eyeballs were a chore. They look so damn simple now, but I really had to work to keep the wide eyed shock and perpetual dismay that I think Rincewind would have. I had plane to try the full on coloured pupil and iris look but I kept messing it up. Anyway... here he is...

Good piece, considering the speed you've painted too. But i think the brown clothes and cloak are a bit flat, you could do with some darker shades and brighter highlights to give some better contrast. The eyes are a good touch.

Nice to see several of your works, if can, pls show us the 1st figure with bigger photo pls? thx a lot.

I really like the first one, with a wooden cross or sth on the back.. :)
