After about a year in recluse (mostly due to getting married and starting new work), I'm getting my hands dirty with this army again. Fresh off the painting table is an Iron Hands Sergeant for my tactical squad with a Power Fist and Combi-Melta.

Hahahaha! I think Mahon greyed out the bottom of the mini and made the boob/face portion more saturated to draw focus to the top. That's something I'm gonna try on my next one.

I really like how the centre one looks, it's very subtle, yet effective - I'll try that on my next mini.

Looks fun to paint, but I'm a little worried about the parts not lit by the glow - should I use darker, greyed colors for the parts in darkness? or introduce ...

plasma cannon seems waaaayyy tooo huge imo, but that's just me and perhaps the angle of the photo of course

Okie, my next planned project will be painting an Iron Hands Plasmacannoneer (that's a mouthful). Anyway the idea for this project is to learn about OSL, gonna try to light the model mainly using the plasma glow from the gun - not sure how it will turn out, but I'm just gonna dive into it and find ...

Great advice guys, thanks a lot! I have only Dwarf Flesh and Elf Flesh handy, lemme try mixing those into a red highlight - will keep you guys posted on how it turns out.
