Aranelthemithra completed pieces
So this is the first piece I have put in the "final" category. This was a piece I painted for a small little painting contest to celebrate the anniversary of our local GW.

Re: Okay, mission: impossible.

I am finding the purple and light green to be an attractive colour scheme, though I am not entirely sure how those would combine on my model. It also loses the elemental aspect... hmm.

Okay, mission: impossible.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is the following:
A small little painting contest at the local GW store celebrating it's anniversary. The timeline is a week from Saturday, the window of painting started yesterday. I picked this model...

Re: aranelthemithra's WIP thread.
I appreciate the feedback.

Necron - Imotekh
Instructions were: Paint a pre-built, pre-based Imotekh finecast miniature for a store so they could sell the opened product for about $50. This means the most I could get for the assignment is about $15-20
I capped the job at 4 hours.
Not only would I like some general comments ...

Re: Vlad von Carstein
I don't think the green is wrong persay, but I do think that the skin of the wolf hide is very red and so you get the uncomfortable christmas contrast going on.
hides of that type would be more tan (tanning being a process the hide goes through for preservation) and as such more neutral
I have ...

Re: aranelthemithra's WIP thread.
My first attempt at model conversion - a Thunderwolf Cavalry. It is made from High Elf chariot lion, a goblin wolf rider wolf mount, a wolf guard torso, and a basic space marine chopped to pieces to make the legs. Then green stuff added for the fur, neck and to put the rider together
After is the ...
