Do you use FFF as a dry time extender? Do you use it to make glazes? What dilution do you use?
I use FFW as a way to make any paint into an ink/glaze. As far ask what to what ratio it is just a look and what feels right. It becomes a visual thing for me to get a mix to do what I want it to do.
For an ink try a 4 to 1 FFW to paint to start with.
