* Confirmed Dwarf re-release in December/Xmas/Januray- Astromarine Said many times, and confirmed now over in the Chicago GT - Bugman

* New Plastics

* Plastic Warmachines - Sounds logical given the new plastic HE bolt thrower -

* Cannon in plastic Duh! Empire already have one, this seems a no brainer

* box warriors/longbeards plastic - Logical, but why longbeards?

* thunderers and crossbowmen plastic - Logical, but thunderers?

* There will be a "Macragge" box style featuring Dwarfs and Orcs, set around Karak - Eight Peaks -Astromarine Flaming balls of goblins, if this is true, then it will date back to the one of the greatest battles i ever read in white Dwarf, it would also seem logical too, but Dwarfs as a starter army? Thats not so good, they have no magic, high toughness and little gameplay (at the moment) - Bugman
* we wont be gettin a steam tank but a "dreadnaught" - Another New warmachine? we have enough speical choisces already!
* our engineer/warmachines will be much better - Well we do have the best warmachines -
* Engineer equipment for engineers and miners - Eh? like a pickaxe? -

* 8 Different Dwarf Lord models - 8? Why do we need so many!

* no plastic slayers (but three new metal blisters) -

* special rules called "stoic", which means all dwarves count as 2 models when determining autobreak due to fear. -
* More runes, or at least more viable combinations of runes. -
* an offensive magic phase, where runesmiths cast runes on the battlefield as well as in the forge. - Forge? Offensive? Dwarf Magic? Noooooooooo!
* a new character option: the dwarf King.
* rumours of new warmachines as well.

* The manager in my local GW ... a new box set December/January
* goblin hewer is a rare option, but no doomseekers
* dwarf lords will get a throne of power option
* new plastics are definatly on the cards and he did say probably slayers. -
* indicate there are no plastic Slayers, but there will be some new metals -
* all should be out by xmas.
* he said that chaos dwarfs are definatly coming, probably around the same time as nippon/cathay.
* Longbeards to be an upgrade for regular warriors.
* Thunderers to lose move and fire for +1 to hit at long range.
* Goblin hewer to be a rare choice, and no Doomseekers will be in the new book. -
* Slayers will have 3 new blisters of models - Nasher No plastics then?

* instead of US2(unlikely) dwarfs will be immune to fear -
* There will be the 'ability' to make us go faster -
* dwarfs are probably going to get M4 to get rid of the stand and shoot aspect to some extent.

Only rumours and you know how that goes, half of it is partially true, the other half is pure crap ^^
Up to you guys to decide what is crap and what not :P

Oh btw, I got them from a dutch forum.. so they are scraped together from other forums... don't take them all too serious

Some rumours seem to be based on utter crap as you've told but some of the things mentioned would be very nice.

So, will this be GW's new policy? Instead like in the past where you got only a few character models made for your army it seems they are now chucking thme out buy the dozens! (for example: High Elves/Lustria campaign and now with the Wood Elves!) I don't mind though, the more the better! :D

heh, this is actually a compiled list from the dwarf forum of Bugman's Brewery. I remember those comments after the - ^^

Anyways much of this is confirmed, but Gav has said (he's a member on Bugmans.. yes the real Gavin Thorpe) that a number of them and the other stuff floating about are rubbish.

well, some of these things sound pretty interesting. I was rather disappointed with the last new dwarf army. Engineers were less useful than te ones from the Empire, machines were worse and often more expensive (anybody say "organ gun"?) than their "equivalents", and unfortunately dwarfs still remained pretty boring to play IMHO. Or not interesting enough to keep me playing them...
