What finish to use?

I'm being commissioned to paint Dreadfleet and I want to make sure I have the proper finish to spray on them when completed. I've used a matte finish before on some minis in a game called "Last Night On Earth" and there is a sticky residue on them still years later. Any suggestions on the type of finish I should get to spray on these hard plastic minis (the ones from LNOE were more of a rubbery plastic). Thanks ahead of time for your help.
